Consider this your official heads-up: the 21st Arlington Holiday Lights Parade is rolling into town on Saturday, December 13th, 2025. Get ready from around 2 p.m. until about 9 p.m.

Before the parade gets underway, there's plenty to keep you busy. Starting at 2 p.m., head to the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library for classic holiday fun, including photos with Santa, some craft activities, and the perfect time to sign up for a new library card. The library is located at 100 S. Center St., conveniently situated just north of City Hall.

Elsewhere in Downtown, from 3 p.m. onwards at Levitt Pavilion in Founders Plaza (just south of City Hall), you'll find more festive entertainment. Look out for the annual Miss Persis Elf Show, browse seasonal goodies from local vendors at the vendor market (running until 9 p.m.), and catch a youth spotlight performance.

The main attraction, the Holiday Lights Parade, officially begins at 6 p.m. starting from the corner of College and South streets. The parade will circle around Arlington City Hall and the Downtown Library before concluding on College and Abram streets. Look for announcers sprinkled along the route. Expect over 100 entries, featuring floats, drum lines, and classic cars. Remember to check your Waze for any road closures affecting the parade.

After the parade concludes, the celebration continues with the grand tree lighting ceremony in Founders Plaza. Mayor Jim Ross and Santa Claus will flip the switch to illuminate the Downtown Christmas Tree – a 65-foot beauty specifically designed for Arlington, funded back in 2019 by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation. Linebarger is this year's tree lighting sponsor.

Don't forget your camera after the tree lighting! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making appearances at Levitt Pavilion for more picture opportunities.

Please keep in mind that all listed times are approximate and might shift, but the parade is definitely happening rain or shine, unless severe weather like lightning or icy conditions pose a safety risk. For the most current details, always check the Holiday Lights Parade website or Facebook page.
